Stamping Around PA Recap - Papertreyink & Bombshell Stamps

Can you believe there are more class projects to share from the Stamping Around PA event?! So many fantastic classes...too much for just one post! Today, I'm posting the photos from Becky Oehler's class, which was sponsored by Papertryink. And PTI was generous enough to donate a stamp set....for every attendee! Imagine that the crowd went wild when we announced that fun little surprise! Becky also brought along oodles of buttons, paper, and other embellishments to give away! It was a happenin' class! Becky presented the class with one of PTI's templates. This is the third class I've taken using the templates and I've loved every one. The templates are well made and easy to cut out and assemble. In PA, we put together a darling box that held three standard size (4.25" x 5.5") cards with envelopes. We used the Autumn Abundance stamp set for this project along with fabulous paper from Gina K. If you've never used Gina K paper, I highly recommend it, wonderful weight and colors. Here is my card from the class. If I had been smart and paying attention I would have made three different cards but I made mine all the same. That's ok...I have a friend in mind for this card set and I'm sure she won't mind that the cards all sport the same vase and flower image. :-) Our next class project was brought to us by Kathi Rerek from Bombshell Stamps. Bombshell has some feisty stamp sets and it was fun to use totally new images. (There were a few attendees in the back of the class that were just itching to win one of the stamps sets that Bombshell donated!!) Kathi demonstrated a fun crayon resist technique, shown on the cards and post-it-note cover above. I've done crayon resist before but not in the same way that Kathi demonstrated and I really liked her technique. Rumor has it that everyone enjoyed learning some new tricks! Just one more PA post before Stamping Around announces some new and exciting stuff...stay tuned...

So glad you liked my twist on the crayon resist technique. I really love your results! Both the Post-It cover and the card look fabulous!
